Design
Metrea Aerospace Design provides a full turn-key service, from design, engineering and analysis to testing, document preparation, manufacturing, installation and certification.
Production
By streamlining aircraft modification processes, Metrea Aerospace Design is able to significantly reduce turnaround times and development costs. We do this by leveraging additive manufacturing for rapid prototyping, short-run tooling, and complex production parts. Through the Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) process, we design, supply and seamlessly integrate an array of required supplemental components, such as wire harnesses, adapter plates and kitting solutions.
Certification
Leveraging our time-tested internal processes, strong relationship with the FAA and continuous communication practices, we have been a trusted certification resource for over 16 years for Part 23 (Normal), Part 25 (Transport) and Part 27 & Part 29 (Rotorcraft).

We offer a comprehensive range of certification services under our Organization Designation Authorization (ODA), including: Supplemental Type Certification (STC), FAA Certification and foreign validation, Designated Engineering Representatives (DER), Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA), Technical Standard Order (TSO) Products.

Your Partner In Aircraft Certification

Metrea Aerospace Design operates an FAA-authorized Organization Designation Authorization (ODA). This means we work under the FAA's guidelines, ensuring all our work meets their high safety standards. Streamlined Project Turn-Around Time

Metrea Aerospace Design offers improved project turn-around time by having near end-to-end control of project certification activities with limited FAA involvement. This minimizes the impact of other FAA concerns on our customers' projects and allows us to effectively align project requirements with FAA policies and guidelines, bringing greater predictability and certainty to your projects.
What is Designation Authorization?

This allows MASD to act as representatives of the FAA Administrator, following the Administrator's policies and guidelines. Designees perform delegated functions independently of their employing organizations. The FAA uses the ODA program to enhance certification services for its customers.

Improved project turnaround time

With delegated authorization, MASD has end-to-end control of project certification activities without having to accommodate FAA Certification Branch workload and priorities. MASD projects are less likely to be impacted by other concerns of the FAA.

Improved predictability of project requirements

MASD can exercise its delegated authority to match project requirements with FAA policies and objectives. MASD’s ODA capability brings more control and certainty to your projects.
